Directing & Cinematography Fundamentals
The courses focus on DIRECTING and CINEMATOGRAPHY and teach the fundamentals of scriptwriting, camera work, shooting routines, how to set up the shots, working with actors, the importance of sound, editing and postproduction.

Two 4-week film courses (COURSE I & COURSE II). These courses are designed to be taken together. Course I focuses on the fundamental technical aspects of filmmaking, preparing students for Course II and for continued studies, where they begin creating their own short films with a foundational understanding of professional filmmaking practices.
Program Structure:
During Course I, each student will learn to write, direct, and edit short film exercises.
During Course II, the emphasis is on cinematography, lighting, and sound, with a specific focus on working collaboratively on each student’s and classmates’ short films.

Rotating crew roles mirroring professional film set dynamics.
